How it Works

Planners Paradise

Planners Paradise is for those who are the Kayla's on an adventure. You have a general idea of what everyone wants to do, but the thought of it not being organized and put together nicely is stressing you right out (I can relate). Stressing about the adventure BEFORE the adventure is a sure fire way to not get full enjoyment out of the experience.

Planners Paradise is for those who know what they want, they just need some help to putting it all together.

How it works: Dream. Discover. Do. Travel

Booking:
During the booking process, you will create an account and fill out the Operation Discovery survey, where we can learn more information about your adventure style, etc. Payment will be collected in full for your selected budget, including any applicable taxes and our 15% Service Fee.

Leave the journey to us:
We will get to work planning your adventure based on the selections from your survey!

Clue #1:
7-10 days before your adventure, we send you an email with :

The weather forecast of your destination
Packing tips for possible excursions
What type of travel to plan for (i.e. Road Trip, Train, Air, etc) and a broad departure time

24-48 hours to go:
24-48 hours before your adventure, Out and About Adventures will send an updated email to include

Estimated departure time (based on preference from survey)
- If driving, departure time will be calculated based on drive time to location
Departure location
Updated weather to ensure proper packing

Go time!
Don't freak out, but keep checking your emails and texts! You'll get a text and email confirmation with updated departure information. We will include as much or as little information as you need based on your survey answers.

Arrival:
Upon arrival, you will have a completely custom itinerary waiting for you to explore. Your itinerary will include pre-booked accommodations, activities, dinner reservations and information on your return home. You will also receive a list of additional activities to explore at your leisure should you choose. Review your itinerary closely.

The fun doesn't stop there!
After reviewing your itinerary, you will notice some times that will look similar to this: "BLOCKED - 2 hrs". One thing that sets us apart is that we will plan and book activities for you along the way as your budget allows! That's because we believe that once you arrive at your destination, you should keep getting surprised and you shouldn't feel scrambled. Your surprise activities will be revealed to you with plenty of time to plan around them.

We are confident you will have a great time! Some notes on departure day:

Leaving is always the hard part. Your Adventure Coordinator will make sure you are checked in and send you your boarding passes 3-4 hours before your flight, giving you ample time to get to the airport or train station.
- If driving, your Adventure Coordinator will send you a courtesy message with a reminder for checkout as well as updated drive time with traffic.

Welcome home!
When you return home, there's only a few things left to do:

Upload all your photos! Don't forget to tag @outandaboutadventuresMN
Unpack your suitcase so it's ready for the next one

This package works very similarly to the travel package! The main difference is this package is geared towards a date vs a full trip.

Booking:

During the booking process, you will create an account and fill out the Operation Discovery survey, where we can learn more information about your adventure style, etc. Payment will be collected in full for your selected budget, including any applicable taxes and our 15% Service Fee.

Leave the journey to us:

We'll get to work curating a fun and exciting date for you and your loved one.

Clue #1:

We know that planning a date comes with it's own challenges, such as securing a sitter, etc. A few days before your scheduled date, you will receive an email with clues for the night. Some examples include: dress codes, indoor/outdoor, weather, length of activity, etc. to help you plan.

Day Of:

Check your email and texts! We'll send you a custom itinerary for your date. Included in your itinerary will be up to 3 activities, depending on your selected budget. Your Adventure Coordinator will be available for any questions you may have. Enjoy your date!
